gopro camera: 60 mph (~100 km/h) on a road bike
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
First real warm day of the year, I thought it'd be a good idea to try to hit 60 mph (~100 kph) down one of the steeper hills in the Eugene area. I hit it... but definitely didn't prepare well enough for the turn at the bottom. *Side note, subtitled speeds are estimates. I only looked at my computer after the ride to see a max speed of 60.2 mph.

what's the bike you are riding?

I hit 35mph on full suspension mountain bike, with a lot smaller hill. so for you it should not be a problem on a bike like this

where in Eugene is this?

Fastest I've been was 55MPH on a short, straight downhill. Could've hit 70 if it was longer because it was that steep! But so dangerous with tiny bicycle brakes and thin tyres with no stopping power.
-

I own a Kross mountain bike. My max speed from a hill was 68 km/h. I really love high speeds but damn that shit sometimes is scary. Still.. I always tend to go over my streets speed limit and go around 45 km/h on a grumpy ashfalt. Still ish fun

Dangerous, but have been exhilarating. Be a bit more careful, man.

Popo could have pulled you over and given you a speeding ticket and reckless driving ticket.
