Hesjedal motor bike? (Doped bike with engine) / Bici a motore? Vuelta 2014

www.20min.ch said Hesjedal used doped bike. Is it true? http://www.20min.ch/ro/sports/cyclisme/story/Le-v-lo-de-Ryder-Hesjedal-avait-il-un-moteur--17648779 Other references on my blog: http://www.michelebufalino.com/2014/09/04/vuelta-2014-il-ritorno-della-bici-truccata/ http://www.michelebufalino.com/la-bici-dopata-e-fabian-cancellara/ Also Tuttobiciweb.it: http://www.tuttobiciweb.it/index.php?page=news&cod=71922&tp=n

Lol guys, this is the downhill. Why would he be using the motor assist on the downhill? Secondly, you'd think that he would have used all of his battery on the uphill or he's just carrying 2kg+ of motor equipment on the bike for nothing. Makes no sense.

😠👎

The bike had a running motor for the following reasons:
1. The angular momentum of the rear wheel was severely decreased if not totally stopped when the wheel slammed onto the road and was dragged/skidding for about 4 meters without losing contact with the road.
2. The translation and rotation of the whole bike had come to a complete stop by the time Hesjedal's right foot was lifted from the bike(0:12). If the rear wheel had some left over angular momentum after the dragging of the wheel, the rotation of the whole bike would not have stopped at 0:12.
3. After the bike had completely stopped translational and rotational motion at 0:12, it actually rotated 180 degrees and started climbing the hill. -
Also, it's important to note that this guy was/is a doping, the regaular kind, so he's OK with cheating.
-
The Instagram "proof' that this could happen is bogus, the guy reveres his left hand grip and twists the frame. Also note that the bike in the clip above is speeding up as it spins, that's simply not possible without a motor, at least not here on earth.

I didn't believe a word of this, until Femke Driessche was busted. I wonder how far back this goes?
-
strange, very strange, mr. hesjedal !!
-
What's happening to this wonderful world of cycle racing ? If you are wank at it and haven't a hope in hell of winning without cheating then I suggest taking up another sport! Golf or Badminton maybe......

Can someone translate commentators please...!

Disgusting bitch!!

Tire hits sideways. Speed prior, assume 30 mph. Rider still clipped in for fraction for a second. Relatively large movement after rider completely disengages. Tire-asphalt grip continues to provide additional motion. This is an alternative explanation.

hell, we can all win the Tour de Farce.

Wow, sooo obvious.

I love how there are people trying to defend this cheater. The officials wouldn't have banned her on this video alone, they have computer programs that can detect the radio signals that motors give off, they could spot suspiciously fast sector times, and they can always x-ray the bike if needed. The video just exposed her, they must have found something in her bike during the investigation to justify the ban. These keyboard scientists who are in such a hurry to defend cheaters suddenly turn into mechanical engineers, and physicists when needed just to get an uninformed point across. Then they spout crap about gear ratios, weight, inertia, momentum, etc. when the matter has already been settled by officials who have all the information and know what they are talking about.

My bike has done this before
-
I didn't notice it before but yes her rear wheel keeps spinning after her crash! No amount of angular momentum would have kept that whole frame turning on the road given those lightweight wheels. Shame.
-
Bike was inspected post race and she was caught. How is this even a discussion?

definite doping, and now that the HN community is on this case game over
-
LOL - its so obvious its embarrassing. As others have commented, his rear wheel is stopped by the initial crash and then starts spinning again?! Also curious, how Hesjedal himself approaches the bike - with his hands out as if he has no idea what it might do. In that kind of scenario normally, the bike would stop and the rider would simply pick it right up - here it appears he is hesitant to try and grab it - since he knows its doing its own thing! LOL
