It has a 24 Volt/ 10Ah battery pack and the whole thing was put together for about 100 € ! Read more on my website: http://www.doityourselfgadgets.com/ !

Firstly Thank-You! I have been wanting an E-bike for some time due to a leg partial disability, but they are very expensive. I am going to try to build one like your design. Thanks again!!

great work../... but when its 300 watt 24 volt motor then it should draw 12.5 amps not 4 to 9.... if it is drawing that then theres a problem with the motor it isnt giving its perfect efficiency....
-
can u tell me the measurements of that wheel used for motor
-
your video seems to show that there's no drag / loss worth mentioning when the electric motor is off.... That's interesting to know! (I would have thought the motor would drag on the wheel when not powered :)
thanks -
How did you wire it? Did you just connect the switch between the motor and the batteries? Also, did it not work well in the rain due to the circuit not being waterproof? Or was it due to the friction motor setup itself?
-
I get it, functionality over form, and its pretty cool but my god man did you use a hatchet to cut the metal? ... my other thought is you could setup a sort of deadman switch, so that when you apply the brakes it disengages the motor.
