Today we are going to take a look at two commuter motorcycles that offers slightly more premium look and feel than the rest of the competition, Honda Livo and TVS Star city plus. Livo is stunningly looking motorcycle while Star City Plus follows the same commuter look. Up front, it has the stylish new headlight flanked by the black fin, whereas Star City Plus has a massive and masculine headlamp design. So on the looks front, Honda Livo is a clear winner. Coming to features, Livo lacks lots of features compared to the Star City Plus. The hexagonal shaped console looks outdated along with same old switch gear that has been around for ages. The Star City Plus however get the semi-digital instrument console. Coming to the performance, Livo has the same 109cc engine that we have seen in Honda Dream Neo. It produces 8.3ps of power and 8.6Nm of torque while Star City Plus generates 8.4 Ps of 8.7Nm of torque. Both motorcycles can easily reach 60kmpl with ease, but if you push it more, you might face some trouble. Both Livo and Star City Plus are commuters motorcycles. Livo wins on the styling front, whereas Star City wins on the features front. As far as handling is a concern, Livo wins by far. Both offers similar around 70 kmpl of mileage. TVS has priced Star City Plus approx 470000 ex-showroom while Honda Livo has a price tag of around 60000 ex-showroom.

I am all for disc brakes BUT on 8 HP commuters running at 60 kmph drums do a good job too, drums are lighter and cost less. as long as a rider knows how to point handlebars straight then apply front brake, in 60-80 kmph range drums can do a good job. point i am trying to make is if we learn to use front brakes well then drums or discs both can do good job for small bikes

honda livo- very comfortable for small and mid size riders (below 5.7 ft ) ,very silent engine (same feel as shine),over all build quality (plastics ) good compared to city+ -
