2. Back then bike companies actually made the entire bike. Today bike companies are nothing more than frame builders. Simply bolting on aftermarket components to a simple frame but claiming all the glory.

5. I wish they still made bicycles like this.  The bikes and clothing people wear and ride now look like rolling advertisements for some bizarre EXTREME sport. Doesn't anyone just use bicycles for transportation anymore.

I just watched this video and am now confused and worried as hell. How often do problems like the ones described in the video occur? I don't have the money to take my bike to a shop all the time to have this stuff done, nor the tools. I'm hoping after watching it again I can do some of this myself but am still worried about the frequency of these issues and how I will figure out if something is wrong.What do you think about that ?Are those drop handlebars or moustache type at 16:25 - 16:30 or so?
16. Raleigh, made in Nottingham, England. You can tell first by the fork crown being tubular with chrome end caps, and how the fork blades are attached to it, and second by the chainring pattern.
