I bet nobody knows the biggest piston manufacturer in the world? It's Japanese and they are called ART. Most Japanese bikes and cars have them. Hayabusa comes to mind for me.

It just fails to explain how the piston can be airtight. I mean it would require an atom-scale precision to make the pistons actually air-tight, which is not something that can be done with nowadays technology, so how can this be airtight at all ?
