Hi Guys, Just thought I would share my experience of purchasing a reconditioned bike in Japan! The links are as below: Tokyo Cheapo article: https://tokyocheapo.com/lifestyle/reconditioned-bicycles-the-two-wheeled-wonders-where-to-find-them/ Suginami Green Cycle Website: http://www.sjc.ne.jp/suginami/14dokuji/igo/igokyousitu.html Note that if you plan on purchasing a bike from this centre: 1. Arrive early (At least 10:00AM to get a place in queue) - Gates open at 11:00AM. If you are going to arrive after 11:00AM, there is a high chance you will not get a bike. A man will come out at 10:50AM to describe the process of purchasing a bike. This will go for 10 minutes. 2. Try to decide on which bike you want by peering through the gates before you enter. Once you enter, you have about a minute to grab a bike before all the good ones are taken. 3. Take your bike to the side and remove all the cards (Leaving only the SMALL one). Take your cards to the desk and fill out the form. Have your Name, Address and Alien Registration handy as this will speed up the process. Once you have filled out the form, you will need to queue to pay for your bike. You will receive a receipt that will allow you to register your bike (in case you ever lose it, the police can contact you if the bike is found). You will need to queue again to register your bike. Once registered, you will receive a yellow sticker that you will have to stick to your bike. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and share.
