How to change a kids 12 inch bike tire
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Several weeks ago I was changing the tire on my daughters bike and was having a tough time getting her small 12 inch tire on and off the rim. I looked online to see if anyone had any helpful hints but wasn't able to find anything all that helpful. So after some trial and error I came up with a few little tricks and decided I'd make this video and hopefully it will offer some help to anybody else out there that may be having some of the same difficulties. Hope you all enjoy this video. Tools you may want to have for this.... - wrench - tire levers - needle nose pliers - long flat head screw driver - hammer - a new tire - a new tube

First time replacing the tire on my daughter's bike, and this video was a huge help. Thanks!

instead of screwdriver try rear end of a good quality table spoon. nice to see the use of hammer handle.

I'm pretty sure you just saved me a good hour (or more) of screwing around with my daughters bike. I just changed out her tube in under 10 minutes. Thank you!!!

Beautiful! Thanks for posting this and helping.
-
Thank you!! I learned a new skill and my son is happy with his working bike now.

If you cut out all but the last few seconds with the hammer end this video would be better.

Dude! You are my savior!! I tried to find such a video in French or Dutch without any success... The screwdriver bit is the key!! :) now I'm gonna be able to fix that buggy of mine! Thanks

thanks for video it was super helpful, just extactly what I needed!

To make it easier you should put the tube inside your tire then put the tire with the tube in it back on the wheel

Great advice - thanks. Lionel

Super helpful. Much appreciate you posting this.

Please consider editing your video description to include the parts & tools one would need. Makes it easy to visually see the tool list while you're talking. Thanks!

Awesome video, thanks for the help. I didnt have the prying tool you had so I used a paint key to eliminate the puncture risk with a screw driver.

Interesting video

Omg! Seriously right? As if parenting isn't enough of a challenge to make you second guess everything you know. Now, it appears you can't change a dang tube on a bike! I cannot believe what a time I have had on this cheap lil bike!
You never showed how to put it back on! No joke, everything about this was SO hard. What?? -
When I saw you get the screwdriver out, I was worried - glad you didn't use it to put the tire back on. Tried your hammer technique and it really works with those stubborn, tough little tires. Thanks!
