30 degrees? Looks more like 150

what tool does he use to measure the angle? its not a standard goniometer
-
Hmmm I was always told, and most other YOutube videos say that plumbob should drop down to pedal axle NOT the tip of the pedal

The guys smile was so awkward XD

this is so long. I there must be a simpler way without using all this maths 🖕

I need help. I have a mountain bike that is size L, targeted for 180cm and taller riders. I'm 176, but even still I cannot move the saddle back enough to have the plum bob line be where it should be on the video. The seat post even has 15mm setbak, but I still run out of adjustment.
So either I'm doing something WRONG, or my anatomy is just too unique. How do I figure wich one is it? I'm having to improvise with the plum line bob (piece of string and a heavy key tied to the end of it) and holding myself next to a wall.
All size calculators give me a frame size of M or equivalent, but I'm thinking even L is not large enough. What's the deal here, can you help? -
he is using the same cycling shues as i do :D
-
so the height of the seat should be necessary so that the leg stretch close to 180% angle from ankle to hip? do you guys know why the speedometer is not showing any data on the screen knowing the battery is new and the magnet is touching the sensor on the front arm?
-
im just gonna bootleg it and use a protractor, and probably just eyeball my knee
-
can i get any bike (within reasonable grounds) and then make it fit me by adjusting the saddle height and other things to fit me or do i need to do all these measurements before getting a bike?
-
when he says 140 he means 40 when he says 150 he means 30

Great video, it is so easy to follow
-
how about the handle bar height, should be how mm lower the saddle for endurance ride ?
-
Why use video when all you see is the faces and chest HAM
-
which model and size is that lezyne saddle bag? thx. -R

Don't "go ahead" I stopped your video at 3:29 because you used that god-awful expression 3 times up till then and you said senna-metres for centimetres.!! grrr argh ! or maybe you'd prefer eee - erp ?

When I was kid I was taught to adjust your seat height so both feet can barely sit flat on the ground while in the saddle, I suppose that would be okay, but I somehow doubt all bikes would get the optimal fit out of the method I was taught, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Steve. Just ordered the angle rule on Amazon. Happy 4th.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have a hybrid and ride in an upright position. The thread is slightly in front of the crank arm but I have already pushed my saddle backwards as far as it can go. Now what?
