No matter how hard I try I just can't get those straps to fit around the ears in a perfect triangle like the guy in the video, and even when I get close, I still can't get the straps to sit flush against my face. Not knocking the video, but I think that I need an experienced cyclist to physically show me how to get it right.

What about sideways?

Wow didn't know it was the shell of the helmet that was supposed to hold the helmet in place not the retention system... I guess I need to return the helmet I bought today.

One word with the KASK and a pair of Oakley s, put the helmet on, push your glasses into your face, then tighten up with the retention system and bingo that's how to fit them. The way that KASK'S are designed glasses can be hard to fit. Oakley realize this problem and have now introduced glasses with sorter arms.Apparently, Mark kavendish had his made for him so they would fit.

What kind of a helmet is that, the one that opens air pockets and closes them?

I have a giro prolight, it may very well be the simplest helmet to adjust ever made, elastic strap on the back and silly simple to adjust chin strap. Only thing is I'm afraid it will loosen up over time.

What type of helmet is that?

How often do you see these plonkers wearing their helmet back to front??? Never know if I should say something, or just, smile and keep on riding... :/

+Shae Dib - Can't reply directly to your post and it can't find your name to + in (probably your privacy settings) but in case you return to this vid to see if anyone has responded...
It sounds like you have some basic balance issues to resolve. Nowadays the kids learning to ride have those push along wooden bikes with no pedals as the (correct) modern thinking is that the hardest part is getting the feel for the balance (the pedalling being the easy bit that will just naturally fall into place afterwards). Therefore I'd suggest you try taking a right turn (at whatever speed feels comfortable) with your feet dangling either side of the pedals so that they are ready to step down if your confidence or balance goes. It's probably just a psychological hump to ride over rather than any physical ailment you may have. Perhaps also lean less than you are currently doing. -
Hi
Great video's
I have learnt a lot from the video's.
I want to buy a new bike . I have spoken to many people about carbon and aluminium bikes. I dont know which one to choose.
Could you make a video on which one you think is the best.
Thanks -
A work stand is a must have!!!

some companies if you have a crash like you to send the damaged helmet back. this helps them see first hand what happened and how they can improve on the designs. Also an important one not mentioned, but check that your helmet has the correct certification from the government agency. Here in australia all helmets by law have to have meat a certain standard and have to show a silver sticker to show that this has been met before they can be sold. And racing, no sticker no racey. (these vary around the world so if you are travelling it helps to check that the helmet you bought in your home county is in fact legal in another under safety guidelines.

I know this may sound incredibly silly.. I'm new to getting back on my bike as an adult and while I can turn a reasonably sharp left at a slow pace ( bike and foot paths when quiet) I cannot turn a sharp right with minimal slope for the life of me! Now I'm getting off my bike every sharp right that I have to turn and walking through it. Any advice would be wonderful???. I try to lean into it and look to where im riding also, but just feel so unsteady. I'm a lefty if that has anything to do with it. Will keep on riding though! :) thank you for all the tips.
