I am interested on racing on 2015. And I'm a total newbie on the BC system. Am I correct that you beed both BC membership and race licence to race? And you have to renew it every season?

I wished I was living in the UK, here in Singapore I couldn't really find much Road Races going on. It only happens about once a year, which is a shame.

Do you recommend TTs. Sort of to get your feet wet in competitive cycling and get you ready for road racing and crits but without the mob of riders to distract you as you learn? Or is TT a separate cycling discipline all together?

You start as cat 4 in the UK !!!?? Here in the US you start as cat 5 !! What a ripoff !! I also heard that if I'm a cat 1 cyclist in the US , I'm considered as an Amateur in Europe ? How does that work ?
