Bike repair tip how to get rid of that creaking sound from your carbon road bike. I had this noise coming from my bike for about 3 months until i got sick of it and decided to eliminate the problem, i tracked the problem down to my seat post, it was rubbing on the inside of the bike frame making that annoying creaking noise. But it's pretty easy to get rid of it by using some grease on the seat post. If you are going to start doing your own bike maintenance and repairs you really do need to get yourself a good tool kit that suits your bike.

I had a terrible creaking noise that I had for ages when out of the saddle up a hill, it turned out to be the cranks. I watched your other video cleaned and copied - no more noise :). My headset (stem) gave me lots of trouble too. I couldn't fix it until I bought the tools.

Thank you so much for the advice, I did initially think the problem was within the bottom bracket. I removed the seat pin, cleaned it but decided to try it without cutting some off, greased it and replaced it. Magic, no more creaking.

I never have creaking. Oh wait, I ride steel, that's why.

I've got the exact same noise on my 2015 TCR! I've decided it must go asap! Whenever I hit a speed hump or shift my weight in the saddle it sounds like I'm gonna snap my seat post off :P

you mean pop some *carbon paste on the carbon tubing, not grease.

I ride a Giant with the same seat post. Started creaking when I'm out of the saddle. How often do you grease the post? How long will it last before creaking resumes? Thx.
