Hi MX any advice on the air box from the Madura 1200. it's been challenging to get the air box boots and carbs to get along. Any advice would be appreciated.

Synthetic or conventional motor oil, and, keeping wet clutches in mind, is it truly bad to use regular car type motor oil as compared to those oils specifically labeled for motorcycles? Is there that much difference, and if so, how and why?

sorry to keep bothering you, but I did get it running. Now I just need to adjust the idle screw and I should be good to go thanks for all your help

Hey Max,I just checked the screws I showed on ur carb clean vids, no gas is going into carbs. hoses maybe?
-
it seems like it, I can smell gas, but if u think I should clean them again then that's what I'll do

Awesome video dude. I have a 1986 yamaha xj700 maxim that I've now had for 3 seasons and I love it. Rode it till September of 2014 and lost the only key I had!!! Talk about pain. So now I'm scrambling around looking for a locksmith. Hope to be back on the road by the end of April. Ur videos are the best, keep them coming!! XJMAXIMGUY

Great video. A couple other things we like to do at the shop are check spoke tightness if its a spoked wheel, check/replace brake fluid or bleed brakes and adjust throttle free play. Several customers have commented that their bike felt more powerful and wondered what we "put in" their bikes to make it so responsive when simply they just had too much free play in their throttle cables!

Thanks

Oh my gosh I totally agree @TheBlankpaiges ! I bought a used 1980 Yamaha SR250 just the other day and now after discovering your channel Max, I have a lot more knowledge on how to fix these things! Today I am checking tire pressure and cleaning the carbs all because of your videos! Thanks so much!
