I usually nuke my oats in microwave then I add honey and cottage cheese. And I add also a pinch of salt. Energy for a long times!

it's also nice to make one with carrots and vegtable stock powder! if you hate sweet stuff in the morning

I sometime add an egg at the end when the pot is off the burner.

To whom it may concern, my twist on pouridge is a WALNUT/GRAPE/dried apricot. When I used to live in your fabulous country, I was breakingfast two mayor versions milky (chopped porridge with worm milk, cocoa, walnuts and dry apricots and some honey or sugar) and a milk free version: There were JumboOats (Oirish once) : steeped with boiling water just enough, fresh seedless grapes, some chopped walnuts and my favourite dried plums or appricots from Sain'sburry, Greek style Yoggurt from same-where (just luxurious/ fatulous heaven) and some honey. When I had summer fruits like strawberries, raspberries etc I included them in. Hope you will enjoy it. Well I do not recommend doing this in advance but you can make a premix since with dryed stuff and prepare fresh fruit a side in the fridge. Microwave the milk or boil water and that's it. I do not boil stuff, its not necessary. These soak well.

Porridge for me is the best breakfast. I use 150 to 180g of porridge oats and soak them overnight in water. I personally love adding sultanas, mixed nuts and onken yoghurt on top. Porridge works well for me as I cycle 5 miles to work and often dont have time for lunch.

hey do you still use 1/2 cup oats even on race day I try that n feels to low on carbs calories
-
I add dried blueberries and vanilla to mine! On ride day I get the banana and some chia seeds!

OK so I have a pretty strict morning routine with not that much time for additional breakfast, can I prepare it in the evening and maybe just put it in the fridge for the next day? Also, how long does it take to prepare all of this, if I try and be quick I might be able to make this in the morning.

There is a hack, firstly boiler the kettle, place your oats in large bowl, then add the water from the kettle not too much, leave to rest for 2min, place in the microwave for 3 min on half heat, remover and stir in some milk and a tablespoon of peanut butter finally add some blueberries and then enjoy.
