I found riding long distances really easy, I brought this thing called a car, and I don't look like knob wearing that Lycra anymore

Sorry guys but Carb loading is a bad idea if you have read the FASTER study and see what Froome (I suspect most of Sky do), Bardet and others do. For long rides using carbs are so limiting.

Can we use mtb for longer distance road rides, say 15 or 20 kms at once,
If anyone can please reply me with some videos,
I am 5'11, not obese but a little heavy person (between 80/85), and commute bike don't look good at all with me,
I made my mind to have a 27.5 or 29er mtb for fitness and endurance,
but all I am seeing is, uphill and downhill videos. -
I use travel size shampoo bottles (3 oz or 84 grams) filled with 3/4 honey and 1/4 water as an energy source that is inexpensive compared to gels.

Usually I enjoy your vids a lot, but here I don't really agree in all. More aerodynamic? I guess it's more important to have a good bike fit and a comfortable position that let u enjoy a long ride till the end. Also good damping is important on longer rides, 28mm tires, gel handlebar tape etc. helps. All thise things get more and more important the linger the ride is.....
And of course it was just a demonstration video, but you should carry more then one 1/2 l bottle of liquid with you.. -
I didn't use your aerodynamic tip and I have got a pretty heavy cycle (30) kilos and the least aero tires .but that has got my calves shining thanks for the tips I will use immediately (thx again)

I use another trick to get my mind from muscle pain - listen to your favorite playlist and get into the rhythm ( always choose faster beat songs as your legs will tend to match the beat after practice)
