how can we stop rattling of rear derailleur due to wobble in cassette on a new bike. I bought a new specialized bike for my wife,I noticed the wobble in cassette and noisy rear derailleur and spoke to the bike shop from where I got it,but the guy in the shop said that the wobble in cassette is normal. But I find the wobble is excessive and causes the rattling of rear derailleur and a specific sounds when riding.

I hear is like my disc brake is rubbing on the fork of my bike, what could be the problem?

Hi...what about squeaks whenever turning the handlebars?

Mine is squeaking loudly whenever i turn. A couple of people has suggested its due to the cables at the bottom of the frame (for the shifters), other said its a from something from the headtube.

The thing is, i've lubed the cables but the squeaking is still there. Im also a beginner and that's why I'm still a bit skeptical doing some operation on the headtube. Any suggestions?

I had a problem with my front reflector for ages slipped down slightly and was fluttering ever so slightly, it kept slipping back so put a slight band of black insulation tape on before the nut and pulled it back into place and it solved it all

Hi guys, my higher gears feel like they're missing a tooth which causes me to jolt when riding to the point where i only use gears 1-3. Do you know what my problem is here? It feels like my chain has came off for a split second with every rotation of the sprocket

I had a problem that when I backed up my bike, I would get a rely loud squeal.

I checked the drive train, and found that it was not that.
it was the rear brake rubbing sections of the break track because the wheel was out of true.
so, I just loosened the breaks a little.(all the way) so now my brakes are not the way I like them (too much travel before the pads reach the wheel) but I don't get that horrible squeal.

I could have also taken the bike to the bike shop down the street and got the wheels trued.

There is a clicking sound coming from my bike when I turn the handlebars. I have already stripped and regreased the headset and I now think that I have pinpointed the sound to the external barrel adjusters on my frame for the gear cables. My bike is a colnago c50 and the cables were replaced a couple of months ago. Any help would be appreciated.

I have noticed a roughness in my 9 speed drivetrain and began to notice a skipping noise when pedaling under stress. I have been adjusting my gears to help get rid of it. No good. Today I noticed that my chain does not sit in the teeth of the front rings. Any thoughts?
