This is good info but it's not the gospel either. There are some hills where I live that require me to use my small gear on the front and my second gear in the back and according to this video, that would be wrong.

when you you use these specific gear ranges? which is for uphill, down hill, flat roads and what gear do you change it to when you stop in order to start riding again comfortably?
