This time, I show you how to wrap your Road Bike Handlebars. I've done it a bunch of times for friends who desperately needed to give their bikes a bit of TLC and finally decided it was time to treat my hands to a new set of wraps too! It's a really straightforward process; it just takes a bit of patience and practice to get it looking good but the good thing is that you can usually unwind the wrap over and over again without damaging it so, as long as you don't cut it until you're happy, you can just keep trying again until you get it right! I hope you find the video useful and if you have any comments or questions please leave them below and, as always, i'll do my best to answer them. Make sure you Subscribe to the channel to stay up to date with future videos! Thanks for watching and catch you soon, Matt

On the top of the handlebars, people tend to rotate their hands down towards the rear which would unwrap the tape. Actually, your old tape had a gap in it that would be caused by unwrapping in that direction. You want to wrap it in the opposite direction so that it would naturally tighten.

What was the electrical tape around the clamp for, usually you use the included piece of bar wrap to go around the clamp ( most bar tape comes with these ). If you use the clamp tape you don't need to figure 8 around the lever. Glad to see that you said to always wrap towards the outside of the bars, so many of these vids say to wrap to the inside, your hands twist to the outside not the inside. Good video.
