I just purchase an end of year 2016 Specialize Sirrus Elite Disc for about 30% off list price. I like the ride better than my mountain bike. I mainly ride road surface although my mountain bike did have a suspension lockout. Plus the Sirrus is about 7 lbs lighter (18 gear vs 27 on my mountain bike)

So the real question is, Rigid fork or front suspension for a bike that will be spending 90% of its time on the road and 10% of its time on mild dirt/fire road type?

What's your recommendation for a54 yr woman 290lbs 29-30 inseam...5'10 " on line purchase? Economy hybrate/commuter bike with mud guards and panniers attachment ....for a comfortable 20-30mins ride 2x. Day??? .

you guys need to stop promoting disk brakes... I say this because they are only a option and not THE OPTION!!!, they are no match to regular v brakes, now yes I agree that the braking in the disk brakes is better, yet the other perks that come with them, need to be considered as well and not act as if one was myopic, with tunnel vision...
