Incredible Flying Motor Bike...
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
A few years ago my brother decided to make his 350 cc motor bike fly. A flyer of light aircraft and an amateur inventor, he was frustrated by the fact that, if he flew anywhere, he had no transport at the other end. So using only parts purchased at the local hardware store and an old hang glider wing, he rigged up the Sky Bike. The wings, propeller and other modifications take about 10 minutes to put on the bike. After the flight, they can then be removed just as quickly allowing the flyer to ride off on the motor bike. This video is of the Sky Bike's maiden flight, in Western Australia.

yea those propellers look dangerous. they should be covered by something just in case

018-957772 that's his phone number (from the screen) and the 018 is completely dead in the telephone number plan.

They had to invent this in Australia just to avoid the spiders
-
what is maximum speed in air? what is the total weight and flying time?
-
Dude how you supposed to eject in case? Even when you have a parachute you'll be hitting the propeller anyway.
-
Take my damn money already!!
-
is this the guy that invented drones? i mean its the same concept but the wings are on top and your weight distribution controls the direction.

Good job making a motorcycle even more dangerous. By a factor of like 100.

its my dream perfect

No thank you, suicide waiting to happen. Looks so easy and safe, but you won't be the one making all the money. That person could care less about your health and welfare!! As long as their profits are there!!

This is awesome! I wonder if the FAA will approve it as an experimental... nevertheless it´s a fantastic flying machine! Did you finally get the patenting? I wanna get one ASAP.

What a great idea! The good thing about it is the low cost. You do realise how cheap you have made powered flight. And there will be a lot of red tape towards engine reliability etc and you will need double ignition etc. You will need an aircraft engine in your cycle (more expensive than the whole thing). That's the problem. It's red tape. but the authorities don't want people killed cos of a fouled spark plug etc. So the engine will have to be maintained as an aircraft engine. lol Well I suppose you do use the motorcycle engine to power it.

I'm going to make a bunch of these and sell them, where I'm from they will go quickly

Has any more development gone into this?

As an aeronautical engineering student I thought about exactly the same idea....... But with a normal bike(no motor) XD
