Introducing the Rocky Mountain Sherpa
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
We're excited to announce the new Sherpa overland bike. Bikepacking has been around for a long time, but the Sherpa puts a Rocky Mountain twist on the concept. We wanted a bike that could tackle more challenging terrain and would let us get a little rowdy—even loaded down for multi day self-supported adventures. The Sherpa will carry you and your gear to the ends of the earth, far from the nearest Strava segment and through whatever ambitious backcountry route you didn’t know you were planning. http://www.bikes.com/sherpa Music: AdamCaptured — Desert Wind

I rode that bike last night at a demo in the Pittsfield State Forest and it was a blast! I was only slightly slower on the climbs than on my Giant Anthem Advanced SX race bike and was slightly faster downhill, but felt so much safer bombing down. And ... it was really fun to ride. Like 2x setup. I hate 1x. I wouldn't market this as a trekking bike only. It's a great every day mountain bike. Only things I'd change would be the tires to something with a rounded profile and add a dropper post. Great bike! Great job Rocky Mountain! Anyone want to buy either of my Giant Anthems? :-)

Looks like it would be great for long range backpack hunting trips

Why the fuck would you discontinue the sherpa 30 ? BIG MISTAKE !!

Very cool bike. I love the concept. But in outer Kazakhstan, if I have a failure, isn't it much more likely to be a simple tire failure before it is a hub failure? Now what are my chances to find a 27" (let alone or 27+") tire in those regions ;-) Just admit you took the 142 standard because there was no 148 when you designed that bike :-p
