Investing in Bicycles in Japan
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Partly in jest, about Yasuko's plans to invest in bicycles in Japan. Testing a new microphone adapter for my Sanyo Xaxcti. It seems that the problem was not the camera but the little bit of wire that converted from the miniature jack of the microphone to the microminiature jack on the camera. Now I have a sony one piece convert, there are no more crackles.

Very busy shop, not only that - Bridgestone has reduced profits for the past 30 years, and may soon go bankrupt. Brilliant! Haha, funny vid. Enjoy the monologue vids in particular. Andy

jitensha (i think...). I can't help but always admire how economical the japanese are compared to the west.

@daviddanielmax At the time of creating this video I did NOT think that investing bicycles was good, and was being cynical, sarcastic and "damning with faint praise," I think.

2 cont) (2nd attempt) So lacking Western unrealistic (but self-fulfilling at times) optimism, Asians are more likely to save for a rainy day. However, there is also research to show that while Japanese are not opptimistic, they are (unrealistically) anti-pessimistic. That is to say that they think that they will be normal, and not misfortunate. This too is a sort of opptimism. But it is not enough to fuel the live now pay later optimism prevalent in the West.

2)It is shown that Westerners are extremely positive in the evaluations of themselves and their future. Asians too tend to be humble about themseles in the present but hopeful (even unrealistically) about the future. But not nearly so much as westerners. Westerners tend to "think positively" "aim high" and "pump themselves up" in an attempt to create a self-fulfilling-profecy. Sometimes it works. If you aim high you reach heights. But sometimes people meet with misfortune.

1 cont) Hence if you give even a nice guy control of the funds, in a romantically orientated household he is morelikely to spend more of that money on going out with, holidaying, spending time with, his wife. And this is what Western households do. On the other hand under the rubric of Confucianism (which seems male but is not really) in Asian households, both women and men place greater emphasis upon rearing children. Children are the future. They require that one saves money (education, house)

Hmm... Interesting question. 1) Hayao Kawaii claimed that while the God of the west is a bit like a father, the God of the Japanese is a bit like a mother. I would go so far as to claim that in so far as Asian women are mothers (but not further, not in the workplace) they have more power than Western women. This "power to the mother," in Asia creates a greater emphasis upon verticle love between parents and children, rather a horizontal love between parents.

haha!! great minds think alike, after a lot of thought - I decided not to lob your old Puch into the dechetterie, but to invest time and effort into shining it up, as good as new - Wondering now about the crusty, rusty bits and how much someone might pay for it..... there are lots of keen bikers in France, havnt seen many on rusty road racers.
