Irumbu Kuthirai Tamil movie stars Atharva, Priya Anand, Johnny Tri Nyugen and Raai Laxmi in pivotal roles while Devadarshini, Anupama Kumar, Jagan and Sachchu play supporting roles. Irumbu Kuthirai was produced by AGS Entertainment. Atharva lives in Pondicherry with his mother Devadarshini and grandmother Sachchu. Raai Laxmi is introduced through a song, "Hello Brother". Raai Laxmi is shown as a very modern girl with lots of tattoos. Later in the movie Irumbu Kuthirai, Atharva meets Priya Anand in a bus. Atharva is instantly attracted to Priya Anand. Priya Anand comes to him and declares her love for him in the bus. He is shocked and also surprised. Atharva goes to deliver Pizza to a house and finds Priya Anand there. She tells Atharva that it was a prank. Jagan and Raai Laxmi point out that Priya Anand has also given mentioned her number in the feedback form. Atharva and Priya Anand begin talking over the phone and start spending time together. Priya Anand suggests he get a new race bike. They visit a bike dealer. They see a second-hand Ducati. As Atharva decides to buy the bike to impress her, he sees a scavenger crow indicating a bad sign. Atharva decides to buy it. They decide to go for a drive in ECR. They are chased by a group of bikers who encircle them. Their leader Don Stoney, played by Johnny Tri Nyugen, attacks Atharva and he falls unconscious. Atharva wakes up and finds Priya Anand missing. Atharva calls Raai Laxmi and informs her of the situation. They learn the story of Don Stoney and his Ducati bike. Johnny Tri Nyugen is an international bike racer who had won many races in France. But due to his aggressive attitude, he was banned from racing. He shifts to Pondicherry. He has a younger brother Roger who studied in Mahe. Like Johnny, his brother also wanted to be a racer. In his college, he participates in a race with another biker Michael and loses Johnny Tri Nyugen's favorite Ducati. He is afraid of his brother as he loved the bike. So he commits suicide. Johnny has no clue where his bike is, except for the fact it was with a Michael who studied in Mahe. Priya Anand, who is held captive by Johnny, tells him that Atharva had nothing to do with his brother. Raai Laxmi reveals to Jagan that Atharva is Michael. His full name is Michael Prithviraj. Atharva was a racer in his college. He was challenged by Johnny's brother who lost the bike in the race. His father came to visit him in college. While dropping him in the station in his Ducati, they have an accident which resulted in his father's death. Out of guilt, Atharva decides to get rid off the bike and gives it to Raai Laxmi who dumps it in her bike showroom. Atharva had resisted from buying it initially as it reminded him of his father's death. But Raai Laxmi pointed out that this may be the turning point in his life. Burma Bhai tells them about the location of Johnny Tri Nyugen and his gang. Atharva comes to Johnny's place and Johnny challenges Atharva to a race in a dangerous path surrounding the Airport runway and nearby forest area. They both race to death and Atharva emerges victorious. Johnny lets him keep the bike and releases Priya Anand and tells him that the bike is with a worthy owner and he will come back someday to reclaim the bike. Priya Anand finally accepts Atharva's love.
