Is Lane Splitting Legal or Illegal? Turns out it is 'not illegal' :P Sorry about the officers' voice being soft. Thats the problem with having the mic, in the helmet! Thanks to the cop for being a nice guy and sharing the information. PS This applies to Western Australia only! I urge you to seek out information regarding lane splitting and filtering in your own town/city/country. If anyone confused this with WA in the US. It's now ok to "lane split" in a restricted sense. YOu have to be on the far left off any cars, only on a 2 plus lane. Not above 25mph and not above 10mph faster than the cars.

In QLD Australia Lane Splitting or Filtering is legal as long as the traffic is travelling at 30kmph or less (or stopped) :D

I see arguments over whether lane splitting is legal fairly often, and not once does anyone say that it differs from region to region. Just one person saying it's legal (many arguing it's legal everywhere because they assume the whole world is like their city our country) and another saying it's not. Pretty entertaining.
