Japan- Hydrogen Bicycles to Reduce Carbon Emissions
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
In an effort to reduce carbon emissions, airport staff is testing hydrogen powered bicycles to replace cars to get around the airport facility. [Yuko Tsubone, Airport Employee]: Because (the airport) is really large, it makes it easier to get around. I also think it's really nice since you can pedal without having to put in a lot of effort, and so you don't get tired. The bicycle uses a hydrogen fuel cell to charge the onboard battery, similar to that used in an electric assisted bicycle. The system allows users to quickly fill up on hydrogen instead of waiting for a battery to charge. The fuel cell generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction. Hydrogen is broken down and then combined with oxygen converting chemical energy into electrical energy. [Yusuke Nagai, Hydrogen Energy Dept., Iwatani Corp.]: The bicycle has a hydrogen cartridge and fuel cell inside. The hydrogen is sent to the fuel cell, and the electricity that is produced is then used to provide the power to assist pedaling. The main benefit of using hydrogen as the energy source for the bicycles is that it is 100 percent environmentally friendly. The only waste product is water which emits only steam rather than carbon dioxide. Iran markets are great for Japanese products and I am looking for a Job in japan too, so if you have any job offer Inform me ?...I am currently in India and I looking forward for job news from Japan

You´re right. Producing Hydrogen makes lots of carbon(dioxide). But most people are very uneducated in sciences. You could tell them that you made an perpetuum-mobile and they would believe it :-)
-
This is stupid. U burn so much electricity making the Hydrogen, it would make more cense to just use batteries. Total con, don't buy into this.

Cars do not run on water, they emit water. Cars run on carbohydrates (fossils) or pure "hydrates" (hydrogen) (produced from fossils) To produce 1 kWh output on wheels from hydrogen, you need 10x times more fossils (and therefore CO2 emission) rather than directly burn oil&gas. The only benefit - you can burn oil and emit CO2/CO/NxO far from cities to clean air in dense populated area

???... -_-

Japan does not produce their own oil. So there is no oil industry there. Do you think a foreign industry can tell a country what they can and cannot make? The genepax car has already been proven to be vaporware, FYI.
-
Yes, but where does the hydrogen come from? Oh yeah, steam reformed natural gas. Which they have no domestic source of.
-
Japan is so epic at this stuff! Check out my channel to see why!

Japan is not allowed to make cars that run on water or do anything that can harm the income of the oil companies. This is part of the national treaty and they were warned recently not to mess with Texas. Have you heard of the secret earth quake? Genepax of japan was shut down because they were going to mass produce their water-car. No water-cars until we demand firmly!

how about just riding a real bike xD not a f*cking water bike u fat asses !!!!!!!!
-
Because they won't make as much money off oil
-
THE hell are the superpowers... we arent living in the 1950s anymore...
-
Its not that we dont want to use water powered cars its that a few people in government positions dont give a rats ass about how good it does for the ecosystem. If they arent making money out of this they wont hear of it.

@Alias828 you take the solar power and wind and use the electricity to make hydrogen, compress the hydrogen for use whenever, you have no imagination
-
@0rganixmatter Efficiency for efficiency's sake is my issue here. I'm not saying that efficiency is bad, in fact I agree whole-heartedly that efficiency is the driving force for nearly all of the technology that exists today, we always want better, faster, stronger and more available, what grinds my gears is creating technology that holds us back in the name of efficiency.

The real question is who actually needs an electric bike? This is just another example of how the world is trying to find any means necessary to do the least amount of work possible.
-
so where is this? start selling them already
