I heard Jay once say that the throttle response is kinda slow, so you have to drive ahead of yourself. He also said the acceleration "felt like the hand of God in the small of your back"!

375 hp in a 400 lb bike. that's crazy. there's got to be some kind of limiter on that thing. people would kill themselves.

At 1:39 Jay says to "read the license plate", at which point it shows a scrolling message under the rear plate stating, "CAUTION! JET WASH! EXTREME HEAT! KEEP BACK!". The Y2K bike doesn't actually produce a "jet wash" of any kind. The exhaust produces temperatures in excess of 1200 degrees fahrenheit, (649 degrees c), but it isn't jet wash. This bike isn't propelled by pushing air out the back. The turbine engine drives the rear wheel via a special transmission but there is no jet wash.
