Today we're taking off the training wheels (stabilizers) on 5-year-old Jillian's bike. She's been wanting to learn how to ride her bike like her big brother. We thought it might be a good opportunity to test out the new handle bar mount that we got for our GoPro Hero 3+ camera. A lot of people are using a balance bike or removing the pedals to teach their kids how to ride a bike. It looks like a very cool training method and many are having a lot of success with it. But since Jillian has pretty good balance, we thought we'd use the old way of holding on and then just letting go. If you are going to use this method, make sure your child knows how to stop and put their feet on the ground. =) We used the GoPro app on the iPad Air to control the GoPro through its WiFi feature. It was very helpful in positioning the camera, since there is no viewfinder on the actual camera. Evan also wanted to try the GoPro out on his Razor scooter. So we placed it in a few different spots. Of course, MommyTube wanted to get in on the action and did a little scooting of her own.
