Written by Mike Batt. From a concert 303 meters below sea level, at the bottom of the platform shaft of the Norwegian oil gas platform "Troll A" in the North Sea, October 2, 2006. The occasion for this special concert, called "the world's deepest concert", was the oil company Statoil's ten years jubilee for oil gas production on Troll A. Katie Melua had to go undergo a security training program before she was allowed to go down into the shaft. The complete concert: https://youtu.be/_YtCHHpZNxo

@puttings Cool. Oil dependency is evil in any case although I know that you can use the technology safely as it appears in the video. I'll concentrate on the good in this instance, i.e. great song and wonderful performance. She'd be the light in the deep darkness there much like any performer in a closed environment. Related item is that ZZ Top volunteered to be the house band on the space shuttle private service, said they'd perform anything just to be there. I think Katie would too. I'm game.

Sweet looking girl and sweet voice. Who's Mike Batt, the composer? Bizarre venue. Kind of creepy being in an oil rig after the BP abortion in the Gulf. I'd run miles to avoid a place like that. Thanks for the posting kaarek.
