Kawasaki KX500 2-Stroke VS KX450F 4-Stroke
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Is a two-stroke better than a four-stroke? The dust will never settle and the battle will never end. To further examine this issue, Dirt Rider enlisted the help of Destry Abbott aboard his championship winning two-stroke Factory Kawasaki KX500 and his thundering Kawasaki KX450F to find out which bike is the ultimate machine. Check out the 2014 August issue of Dirt Rider for a full comparison.

4 stroke best hardes working machines
-
bro this guy is seriously being held at gunpoint, the kx500 would pull the 450 any day, it is such a shame that they stopped making the 500 2stroke
-
2 stroke is always sexier then 4 stroke!
-
That was great except for also having to listen to a funky 4 stroker. I started on Braaap (1974) and I'll go out on Braaap !
-
Players smoke, Ratchets stroke.
-
two-smokers are way faster.... most people ride slow, that's why four strokes are popular.
-
"2 of the fiercest machines produced by Kawasaki" shut the fuck up buy a h2r that's the fiercest

And I thought that I had big balls

Calling all kinds of bullshit on this. Nothing beats a two stroke in top end horsepower. These guys are all drinking the cool aid. Sure a two stroke has less torque at lower rpm but when are these guys at low rpm???

Broke/White Trash dudes prefer 2 strokes.

I'm 44, and I think the problem is old guys get lazy and hop on that 4 stroke. I grew up on a smoker, and will not make that move over. Ride the Service Honda new CR 500........UNREAL.

If you are the kind that loves fixing stuff and dont care to much if your bike breaks down and stuff like that go for the two stroke (also the power) im a two stroke guy myself but i dont hate on 4 strokes its personal preference

You can have your tech and smooth runnin machine, gimmi a ear bleedin, ass smokin, powerhouse 2 stroke all day! mix that oil in boys!!!!!!
-
dude rips but you cant trust any dude that wears flip flops. sorry.

The AMA and big manufacturers are pushing the 4 strokes way too hard. its all about looks and money now. two strokes took way more skill to ride and really seperated the men from the boys. now all the four strokes have so much tourque you can clear a 40 foot gap with a 20 foot run up. its all about ease now. two strokes are built better and had way more reliability. they can be fussy but if you tune it right it would never let you down. 4 strokes have ten times more parts, more things to go wrong, and cost more to fix. everybody now just wants ease and has become lazy. if youre joe blo just putting for fun then fine. but if you think youre king shit cuz you can hit big jumps then shut up. moto should be tough. now two strokes dont exist on tv anymore, and you never hear about any privateers busting their ass to win. thats what i miss most
