Kawasaki Vulcan S accessories and review
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
I have had this Kawasaki Vulcan S for 1300 miles and spent £1800 on accessories. This is a review of the bike and detailing the accessories. The Vulcan was supplied and accessories all fitted by Alf's Motorcycles of Worthing who are the friendliest and most professional dealership I have experienced.

David. I know you have got rid of this bike but hope you can help. I've had the seat done with memory foam but this hasn't really helped. I can only ride for 30 minutes max as I had a push bike accident and my tailbone/coccyx hurts so much as this seat puts lots of weight on it. Is it worth the higher price tag for the gel seat. Does it lift you up etc? Any advice appreciated. What you riding now?

nice to hear you love it after 30 years of riding. hearing many people say it's a beginners bike. I've just traded my z1000sx for the se version as I had a test drive and love love loved it! Getting it this week! Never been to Alfs but used to live opposite! Good vid buddy. ride safe

Hi Mark
do you ride at night, and if so, how would you qualify the bike's original lighting? Have you considered the Kawasaki spotlights? Cheers! -
Other than the vertical video this is a very nice walk through.
-
David, would you recommend this bike as a beginners/newbie bike? Love the looks and the fit and the reviews have been wonderful.

Just waiting for delivery on my 2016 white VN650 ABS here in Bangkok, I do like the Tank protectors, will have to look into getting some of them too.
-
I like the American green paint, but this UK purple is stunning.

Hey there got a couple of questions.
have you ever had false readings from the gear indicator.
and are the gear shifts with your foot give you good feed back to let you know you have changed gear. thank you and would be great to here back? -
Is that the tallest windscreen? Are you looking over it or thru it? How is the buffeting? Have you had a passenger on it at speed? If so, what was they're impression of the wind protection? TIA.
-
I kinda hate that windscreen but everything else is spot on
-
Hi great bike, what brand are your seats? My butt needs help, OEM is uncomfortable.
-
Regarding the windshield bracket - Does unlocking it mean the whole bracket comes off?
I'm strongly considering this bike, and would like the windshield for longer trips, but I'd like to be able to remove it without having any gaudy frame in place for shorter trips -
nice video. i rather get the green one than the purple... we had matte black and purple for Malaysian market. .

John the gear indicator is a standard Kawasaki accessory for the Vulcan S and was £175. I got it as part of the purchase deal. Nice bit of kit.
-
David how much was the gear indicator

Fernando the phone mount was from eBay for my Samsung Note 4. It was sold for use on a bicycle but seems to be good enough for a bike. I have ridden past 70 mph with no issues.
-
Where did you get that phone mount?
-
Dustin it is a brilliant beginners bike, it's so stable and with the ABS you cannot go wrong. Luckily I am able to get the purple as it is my favourite colour! Glad you liked the video! Thanks
-
Great video! So jealous you Brits – and Canadians – get the purple... why does Kawasaki not think us Yanks would want that too? ; )
I'm looking to put a down payment on one (white, probably) this week or next, my first motorcycle after two years on a Honda PCX150 scooter. Sounded like a perfect beginner's bike!
