It's very admirable that a country can celebrate such a simple mode of transportation.
-

There is only a tiny minority of countries in the world with mandatory helmet laws. Most are English speaking. The rest of the world does not share the concern, and rightly so. Cycling is inherently safe, especially in the Netherlands where the cycle conditions -mostly away from motor traffic- are excellent.
-
Are they not reguired to wear safety helmets when bike riding '? IT IS THE LAW HERE IN CANADAespecially for children!!
-
Great.Keep it in the family.

It is a legacy for them... Of course the president of Kurdistan Region and his family ride best of American and European bikes BUT where there are more than a dozen of checkpoints around their place of stay. Police dogs alognside their friends, human police comando-dogs, are also covering all the surrounding areas. I guess they have anti-mortar and anti-rocket systems in place too as some news reports has also suggested this too...
-
It would be weird if they couldn't ride the bike. Almost everyone in the Netherlands is able to ride te bike!
