How about a re-release on Blu-Ray? -
i started MT. Biking as a teenager around 92' and it was indeed a magical time, a bit more simple than today. ah nostalgia such a damm powerful thing

Great inspiration for MTB. Is it possible for me to show your documentary in my bicycle gathering event to promote cycling and save earth?

Thanks for putting this video together.
I came across a website which included photos from the early US military mountain bikes and it's too bad the internet wasn't around when fisher and crew were designing bikes, because they reinvented the wheel. Check out the Buffalo Soldier Bikes and to me, the head tube is very close the angles today and the fork looks spot on. http://mountainbikemayhem.com/news_and_info/history-of-mountain-biking-and-the-mountain-bike-pioneers It may be a good idea to examine some old photos for products we can use today and perhaps save some engineering time. -
1:17 that fork!

I was around the area when this was going on and heard about it. I was splitting my time between the foothills, San Francisco, the East Bay, and Marin. Never met these guys, but heard stories of these crazy bikes and the experimentation going on.

Very cool origins but we've come along way baby!

Fantastic movie Billy, a great insight and source of inspiration to us, we actually prefer riding our klunkers instead of the modern bikes, no suspension, wide bars, fat tyres and a leather brooks beneath your ass is sure to give you plenty of shits and giggles

What Comes to mind are the Marin bikes
-
et tout cela sans casque !!! rock n'roll ......

The Transition Klunker? The term Klunker was around long before I made the movie. You can always get a copy from me at dubdubdub klunkerz dot com. The first song is Spagettadillo by the great Chrome Johnson. They hail from them parts... where the neon and Redwoods collide. Yes, that's Gary. Ride on! Just a small sliver of the history. Everyone seems have a story of having done it before them. They did a lot of things first and popularized the idea. Ride on!
