The game can be played both physically and digitally through the Nintendo eShop, with the digital version requiring 4949.8 MB of memory to be installed. Being the follow-up to Mario Kart 7, the game is the eighth installment in the mainstream series, and eleventh overall in the Mario Kart series. A prominent new addition is anti-gravity, allowing players to drive on almost any surface. Bikes, gliders, and underwater driving also return. In addition, ATVs join the returning karts and bikes as a new class of vehicle.

Is it bad that hearing "Baby Peach you best get the coin noise out of here. Get out. Get out. Oh you little coin noise made me laugh my ass off? Maybe it's because of the fact that Andrew doesn't swear that much (at least from what I've seen) or the fact that he used the coin noise as his censor sound but it was funny.

Yoshi Valley in Mario Kart 64 looked kind of tough back then. You couldn't tell who's in first because everything is in question marks. Well thankfully in Mario Kart 8, you can finally know what position you're in:)

The only Mario Kart games I have played are: Super Mario Kart for the SNES; and Mario Kart Wii for the Wii. I NEED The Wii U to get Mario Kart 8.
