It didn't behave around corners Jay because you weren't countersteering. If you ever want a good looking co-host whos natural gift is driving, I'll make myself available 😁👍🏼💯 After all two bikes is always better than one.

Price is too high.

Hydrogen fuel cell will be the future, hybrids with a half sized battery and a hydrogen fuel cell to top up the charge faster than you can use it, charge the primary battery at home or work for 50miles of fun, then flick on the hydrogen for more range, top up the hydrogen tank and the station same as petrol these days, bike runs the same as any electric but you get the refueling times of a petrol bike
-
This stuff is ok. It is not the future. You cannot ride, fill up and ride. The fossil fuel answer is going to be hydrogen or the like. This is stop-gap at best. Great for commuting and shopping et al, but not a replacement of fossil fuels.
-
only disadvantage i see for this bike compared to a gas bike is the range. 150 miles on a full charge then you need to find a place to plug in and wait where as on gas i just need to fill the tank and go....
-
Now add some speakers simulating engine noise and we're good to go +1

Wow instant power and torque! With the single speed gearbox would it be better to move the rear brakes to the left handlebar? Or perhaps a regen lever to increase decrease regen levels? Finally, need to seat the batteries lower in the chassis for balance, so maybe make the battery a part of lower chassis structure since a couple of inches make a huge difference.

Once you ride an electric, you begin to understand it's the future!
-
Peak power is 248 (not sustained) at the wheel.

I think the weight of this bike is still way too high. With the larger battery pack it seems like it was close to 550 pounds which is a "tank". I'd like to see a moderate electric bike with the following features: 1) under 400 pounds ready to ride, ideally under 350 pounds. 2) Onboard charger capable of being used on a standard 120V 15A outlet for opportunity charges. Ability to connect to a 240V 30A home outlet for rapid charging. 3) A fairly easy way to load test each battery individually to help isolate a single bad battery quickly. 4) A way to "shift" into neutral when approaching a red light (so you don't have to hold the throttle in some "neutral" position. 5) A smaller rear sprocket to cut down on chain speed. That chain must be moving at over 100 MPH when the bike is up close to 200 MPH since it appears to be more that half of the tire diameter. 6) An easy way to change from chain to belt so you can use sprockets to find the final drive ratio you like best, then once found, switch the belts for less noise and less maintenance. That chain moves so fast I would think any chain lube would likely fly off at even moderate road speeds and make a mess. $38,888? No thanks. I'll stick with my $1900 Bandit 1200. That is 1/20th the cost of this LS-218 but has half the HP. That is an order of magnitude (a power of 10) better HP to cost ratio. I can probably spray in another 30 to 50 HP using nitrous oxide (N2O).

Jay you didnt say how insanely fast it is
-
Why don't they put the motor inside of the rear wheel hub? That would get rid of all the chain noise.
-
I think it would get boring not shifting gears , but you cannot knock them , good stuff
-
it's way too dangerous for a bike that fast to be quiet...a loud revving bike not only sounds great, but it also let's everyone knows you're coming which would be safer
-
Great invention for someone who doesn't know how to shift gears.

i have to admit at first i`ve wanted to resist the electric bikes but after seeing what lighting motorcycles has come up with i don`t think i can deny them any longer it really looks to be an excellent bike, i hope Tesla sees the light and allows the charging facilities to be universal it would only mean there cars have more appeal.

$38,000 no thanks I'll take a kawasaki H2. You folks are high.
-
Let me guess its overpriced making no one buy it. Dummies
-
I'm a little disappointed that Jay didn't say I want one, if I had the bucks I would definitely own one of these rockets !!!
