Liter Bikes 1000cc Sport Bikes are USELESS... mostly

The 1000cc Sport Bike or Liter Bike as some call it. Its one of the hardest accelerating motorcycles (or car) you can buy. Capable of of pulling away from some of the fastest supercars. With top speeds near 200 mph and a power to weight ratio better than a Bugatti Veyron it is quite impressive. And its completely useless. You're better than average rider will only ever really use that power on straight roads doing triple the speed limit and nearly killing himself. Now I use to own one myself and remember plenty of times that I absolutely rench that throttle open for some good stretches. And going over the 150mph can be fun but its really the only "fun" thing to do on those bikes. Trust me when I say a lighter more nimble motorcycle is WAY more fun. says a fucking dirt bike with a street tire rider

I have rode a good amount of motorcycles, from 150cc grom too an Cbr 1000. I see what you mean by overkill, but there is one factor that is over looked. A liter bike, due to the power, tends to last a little longer than a 600cc when used for highways. This is because the rpm are lower going 80 that on a 600. There are other small things as well, but as they say "those to their own".
-
dude you summed it up in two minutes, the rest of the video is just you repeating yourself
-
IMO the main purpose of the liter bike is all about the good ol' pissing contest. Like "hey my dicks bigger than your dick. Look at my bad ass litter bike, I'm a fucking bad ass compared to you and your pussy as little 600". Shit like that.
-
does this apply to the more touring oriented biked as well? It all comes down to the rider
-
Restore - resurrect an older model and be different, save money, save tickets, be fast enough.
-
liter bikes actually have more forgiveness then the average 600cc bike wtf bro lol? usually you are in lower revs per liter bike, for the same result as your pinged out hi rev 600cc thats pushing its power to the max and becomes less controlled due to hi revs for equal liter bike power. omg, cant understand shit like this. no truth to this nonsense.

If that's your argument then how would you feel if some Spree rider thinks that 450s are overkill and far more power than you need so you need to take it down to a 50cc. Don't be the asshole that rides wheelies all over town but hey that's ok then make a video on 1000cc sport bikes being useless and how dare someone want a bike that's too "unmanageable" (to you). You may end up growing into the old man supporting regulation on what we the people are allowed to ride because you had one back in the day and they are good for nothing but breaking the law. Don't be that guy, we have more laws and stupid ass regulations on us as is.

So by this logic it's better to drive a Prius than a Ferrari because we're not professional race car drivers and won't know the difference and will enjoy the usable power better in the Prius. What a load of shit.

I commute on a 2004 zx10r 110 miles round trip to work and back everyday and you're right man. I've had 3 bikes my first bike was an ex650. not the fastest bike in the world but I miss that bike now. it's kinda annoying to be on the twisties out where I live and have to be twisting the throttle literally only about a millimeter and being on the edge of safety and disaster. I don't think the 2004 model has any computer assistance. I'm happy I'm able to experience what a liter bike is really like but after riding one so much... I think it's time to take it down a notch. something more practical.

My take on it is this:
A light, low cc motorcycles are good for throwing them around and easy handling like dirt bikes and what not.
A medium size mc can be made into anything.
A big bike such as 1 liter, is good for literally making the best that a bike can do. As a matter of fact the fastest bike at the moment h2r is only 1 liter and i think theres not much need for them on the street but whatever, let them junkies enjoy themselves before they literally dissintegrate at 300km/h
More than 1 liter bikes are literally useless and could only be used to get more torque... Most bikes that require torque are pretty big such as cruizers and what not... But then again, why would you need a fast cruiser for?
If youre not gonna fit to filter through to be the 1st on the traffic light or even have a decent spar with a fellow sports biker, then you might aswell buy a goddarn car and sit in the traffic just like you would with your cruiser...
But dont take my word for it, its just my opinion -
Car wise it's like having a muscle or exotic. Many drivers can't reach the limits of those cars, but they are fun to drive and unique power characteristics. Some of up want low end torque, some of us want low end torque from a higher displacement motor (example turbo v6 vs v8 vs v10 and so on) . I enjoy the ease of speed and I like the supersport riding position. I like the power. I like forever having something to grow into. It will be tracked and it will be respected. I'll put chicken strips on Monday - Friday and knock em down Saturday. See its the opposite for me I think dual sports are pointless, because I don't go off road and there isn't anywhere to in a city unless we want to reach in that illegal catagory again. It's a double standard just ride what you ride. I understand your pov though it can be a waste.
I started on a naked 300 then jumped to a 750 supersport then a 1000 sport touring (too dam much totaled) back to a 650 standard. I want a 1000 supersport now,but I am open to cafe styled bikes. -
I'm a new rider got me a 2003 r6 I fucken love it I have respect for it that thing fucken kills on power I can't believe how fun it is
-
dual sport all the way cruise on the road then go ham in the desert
-
personally I like the seven fifties they do it all

No matter how you want to look at it, superbikes have dropped popularity because not everyone lives close to a track to spend some time on which is the place where liter bikes belong. I owned one and after time it didn't seem it would serve its purpose for a daily driver. I got an FZ-09 now and the low end torque is amazing. It is really fun. Key word fun. Super nakeds are the new thing. I wish I could own every one. Especially FZ 10, FZ 07, Z800,Z1000, 1000S, any naked because they are made for the street.

the average driver has no need of a car or truck in excess of 250 hp as you are saying then for the fact there's no where here to get full use of all that power like a 500+ mustang gt500 or any of those sadly it's the opinion of some one who seems to fear the bigger and the riding capability but hey you vlog your choice
-
Except you can do anything a smaller bike can and then some...
