bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This week is my first Dlog where I take the dog for a walk and talk about my riding experiences and concepts. The first one is going to be about owning and living with a 1000CC Supersport motorcycle aka my R1. Key points: - Cost to buy - Maintenance - Stereotypes - Comfort *note I said 10L but I meant 18L - bike is 6L per 100KM* Get my APStars SP2 Gloves: https://goo.gl/yYmLu5 Get my APStars Leather Jacket: https://goo.gl/Plzz5V Get my APStars Leather Pants: https://goo.gl/sqh6ND Get my Bell Carbon Helmet: https://goo.gl/islJrR Get my APStars SMX Plus Boots: https://goo.gl/jMoSFC Get my GoPro: https://goo.gl/A3fbhJ Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/Realistridertv Google Plus: http://gplus.to/RealistRider Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RealistRiderAU Twitter: https://twitter.com/RealistRider Instagram: https://instagram.com/realistridertv/ Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/c/RealistriderTv Riding: 2013 Yamaha R1 Setup: Bell Star Carbon, GoPro Hero 4, Drift Ghost HD, Sena 20S Gear: Alphinestars Jawbone/Dririder Airflow jackets, Alpinestars SP1, Alpinestars SMX Plus, Alpinestars Racing Leather/Draggin Jeans/Dririder Airflow pants Editing Software: Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 HD All rights reserved. I've an 08 (4C8) and it only gets more expensive with age :-/ Still worth it, though, just about. Never browse pro-bolt website mate, it'll take all your money. Safe riding :-)
-
Also tires, they are more expensive and the hard acceleration eats them faster.
-
A Dlog! Interesting concept mate! I like it!
But next time take the dog for a walk down the beach where all the bikini girls are.
You'll get twice as many subs that way!
Having the bike in the background riding around was a good idea. -
Nice insight and video angle too with the scenic views ^^
-
Great video now. I'm now a little more prepared for when I get a litre bike :D
-
I'm seriously thinking about getting a 1000cc supersport for my next bike just having self doubt can I trust myself on riding on the street
I'd love to have a cross plane R1 like yours, one day maybe.
How do find it riding in traffic and filtering with a big bike? -
Big thing I got was the thing will try and do loops and kill you
-
Great vid mate very helpful 🐨👍🏻
-
I can finally watch this! Had it saved for days.. Just been so busy haha.
Quite like the POV aspect. I expect you'll have a new bike this tax year ;) Just like last year hahaha. -
Think you might have the worlds most fuel efficient r1 if it's doing 300km to 10 lt.
That's 84 mpg or 3.33 l/100.
I get about 1/4 of that out of my fz1 -
300 km from 10 litres? i get that from the 21 litre tank on my xjr1300. also you did not mention tyre costs. i am a big guy on a big motorcycle, and tyres cost me roughly 10-12 cents per k.
many people have the misconception that motorcycles in general are cheap transport. acb125 is cheap transport, a litre motorcycle is a stylish way to get where you are going with a smile on your face -
Nice vid mate. Pretty informative and I will be using this for future reference :) Will hopefully give me an insight when I consider a 1000cc motorcycle myself!
-
My liter bike lives with me.
-
Very cool and great information man! Thinking between gsxr600, ninja636 or the R1...

If anyone is interested in realistic fuel consumption data check out http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle. It's not comprehensive as I don't think the site is widely known, but it can give you a good idea as to what a bike's running fuel costs can be under real-world situations. I track all my data there for the bikes I've owned, and there's an app you can use to easily add in any fuel-ups.
-
10 litres to fuel up and you get 300km's out of that , I would say that's good mileage
-
Cheers mate, I know you mentioned CTP, but did your insurance go up for it as well. I know that when I first bought my bike and insured it the company put it down as a DR650 instead of a DL650....... difference in costs is about $250 for full comprehensive, just makes me want a DR even more lol

I feel I have the same issue with the throttle on my bike.
-
Interesting insights. Like the vid style, that road and scenery was stunning.
-
The $$$ associated with a bigger bike; so damn true! Worth it for the extra amount of fun you can have though
