LOW BUDGET TRAVEL ~ MAN RIDES BICYCLE CROSS COUNTRY
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
11.8.2012. Doug is 51 years old, from Colorado Springs, CO. He's been traveling cross country on his bicycle for nearly 4 years now. Recently he had a bicycling accident where a car hit his bike as it was getting dark. He admits, he didn't have enough lighting and that it was basically his fault the accident happened. Doug survives financially by getting odd short assignment jobs from businesses. He's at a crossroad lately and may give up bicycling and travel in a van. That would entail going back to Colorado Springs before winter sets in. This is high definition [HD] video footage. Peace, Mark Allen Channel (4GUESTS.COM)

The interviewer is really good at interrupting.
-
how often do you have to change the tires?
-
He needs a road bike. The one he has is really nice but its a mountain bike
-
bicycles are emission free travel.......... Climate Change is real...... we need to deal with the cause (fossil fuels)

Can't believe Doug is 51, the journalist seems more concerned with the ways he makes money than what he actually does. About to embark on a cross country trip myself and I hope I have that same sparkle in my eye when I'm done. Thanks to the to all the Dougs out there who pave the way for future generations on cyclists.

I think this guy and this situation doing what he was doing was potentially one of the most interesting chance interviews ever. Then instead of that happening, this, which is pretty much the opposite happened. I was disappointed. I hope Mark will review this work with others for sage advice in the chance he tries again.

bitch, show how it goes
-
i think the strap on duffel bag's a good idea... hold a ton... simple...hook on..
-
double up on lights... put on spoke lights too... impossible to miss them
-
it's soooooooooooo easy to put lights on....... and they make superrrrrb lights today !!
-
It's awful he lost his trailer, but at least he's safe. It took me four hours to bike thirty miles today, and I definitely think calorie/fluid intake makes all the difference to how you feel after! :(
-
It is defiantly budget but not free. You have to eat like 2 or 3 times the calories to bike 6 hours.
-
Interesting and free fuel way to travel. I'm also thinking about bicycle traveling but it is not very safe on the most roads.
-
I like his bike. He maintains it clean and looks nice.
-
Why is the interviewer doing all the talking? Just shut TF up and let the guy tell his story!
-
I hope none steals his bike never
-
