so polite I'm surprised they're not British.
-
Both people did something stupid. Does that cancel it out?
-
A very polite ending
-
3 wrong things in this video:
1- Man not using the cross walk
2- Man not looking in both ways before crossing a road
3- biker going the wrong way -
There is absolutely zero excuse for driving a bicycle, or any vehicle, the wrong way down a street. Behaving like a douche when you hit a pedestrian is just icing on your douche cake.
-
The rider in this car was dead wrong, he does not get to make laws as he goes on his daily ride. He was going the wrong way and had a car been traveling the wrong way, and hit or killed a pedestrian, than he would have clearly been violating the law and sued and even jailed for manslaughter or murder. This rider should be ashamed of himself.

I love this.
A: "You did a jerk thing!"
B: "Well you did a jerk thing too!"
A: "You're right, touché!" -
I Got hit by a bike and it fucking hurt! my ribs and head were in bits for about two weeks. cyclist should be more careful on the roads
-
what an asshole (biker) blaming the pedestrian for not using a crosswalk! what an idiot, and he is driving the wrong way which is potentially a dangerous situation and can provoke a major accident.
-
Then what would the point in pedestrian crossings? The reason for them is to prevent serious injury, and to avoid accidents like this. If we all had the right to cross on a road wherever we please than there would be many more deaths on our roads. Sometimes people do not see incoming traffic and can step carelessly in front of a moving vehicle. It would seem that each man was in the wrong, had the pedestrian chosen to use a crosswalk he wouldn't have to worry about the biker.

I don't think you are correct. Generally speaking there is no such thing is jaywalking unless code in your particular area covers it. Pedestrian always has the right of way, but can't get in the path of any oncoming traffic where it would be impractical for the driver to yield. In this case the cyclist is coming down an established one way road and the pedestrian had the right of way especially since the cyclist was clearly going against the designated flow. Cyclist fault all the way...
-
It's called a one way street for a reason. have you considered going the correct way so you don't hit people? or cars?
-
the biker was going the wrong way down a one way street.
-
It looks like a one way street and the pedestrian looked to his right to check for traffic, and assumed that there wouldn't be a vehicle going the wrong way so he didn't bother checking to his left. Bicycles are wheeled transportation and have to obey traffic laws just as motorized transportation does. It's a good thing that the bald guy wasn't injured because he could have easily won if he sued. = /

douchebag fusion
-
Unfortunately, the bike rider should be obeying the fact that this is a ONE WAY street! The laws for cars apply to bikes as well. One way streets, stop signs, traffic signals etc. & the biker was going the wrong way down a ONE WAY street. The pedestrian should not have had to look left, so he didn't. Stupid bikers! Go read the rules of the road book! If you don't, you'll likely end up dead.
-
Truth be told, if there is no crosswalk the pedestrian is ALWAYS supposed to yield to ALL traffic. He did not....but then traffic going in the wrong direction is also illegal...
-
Yeah ok hero...
-
You must be that new kind of stupid...
-
