Some really mad nerds who spent a bunch of money on hydraulic brakes in these comments.
-
phaha this guy knows nothing about hydr brakes he needs to ask a mountain biker
-
the modulation on hydraulics is just amazing
-
the TRP mechanicals are great. shame Avid seem to have no interest in updating the BB7 other than cosmetic$$. I also like using floating rotors, which does not work well with bb7
-
I've used the cable disc since late 2013 & ridden a 45 km daily commute. These are special. Servicing was easy after 1st try. they bedded down quickly after cable changes. If you are looking for better grip in wet BUT think breaks are pretty good already, this i the upgrade for you. nothing else changes but the mech itself.
-
why that bike has 4 hand levers?
-
Yeah having all those 'adjustments' for the mechanical system is a real pain in the ass for MTB's. I totally HATE trying to set all mine, so looking forward to my next bike with hydraulic.
-
hey i just got one question for you. Can i install road bike disc brake which is avid bb7 road instead of an mountain bike .or is there any problem i have to face
-
people who "never have to adjust them after setting them up" must only ride shit trails because if you don't ride that hard sure they're great but if you break them on the trail (which you would if you jumped anything or rode trails your kid couldn't follow you on) hydraulics are a pain in the ass.

I really like your view on bicycles. I never thought hydraulic brakes were the best idea and I am always worried about maintenance, especially on the road. I have the same feeling with the electronic shifters. I don't want fluids or batteries to cause additional failure points that I cannot fix on the road.

this guy doesnt really know what he is talking about. if cable brakes where better than hydro cars would have them motorcycles would have them etc.
once set up i never have to mess with my SLX brakes. det up and go ride. no cable adjusting bs.. -
Can you make one video about the stopping power of hydraulic and mechanical disc brakes
-
Have been using mech disk for a while now. Done 2000 kms, mostly road and occasional trail rides. I never had a problem, it's simple and so far never replaced brake pads either. Value for money.

get a nice break and you can also adjust the hydraulic break, and also the mechanik break can overheat! dislike
-
Awesome video! Thanks for the great advice 👍👍👍 very helpful

hi, how often needs to be bleed hydraulic breaks on cube attain gtc or sl?
-
DO NOT MISS LEAD PEOPLE . The hydraulic brakes can be adjusted , you may have a model that does not . Also you should center your caliper to prevent a disc rubbing .
-
I have SLX and XT. It`s not hard to bleed the brakes or ajust the breaks.
-
You say tons of adjustability but 3 of those 4 were basically the same xd the only difference between them is the location on the bike. There are a lot of mechanical disc brakes that are just a pain in the ass to calibrate, after every ride they end up with some kind of sound, rubbing, etc., that doesn´t happen with hydraulic brakes, they self-adjust and the bleeding needs to be done every 2 years (unless you cut the lines...). The tittle is ok but the content is not very well founded.
