Moment cyclist hit by car caught on camera in London

My way into work this morning near Oval Station around 9:15am... I didn't even realise something had happened until I reviewed the footage later to see why a policewoman ran across the road and stopped traffic and that's when I spotted the cyclist being hit and knocked off by a car at the junction opposite! Really made me feel bad in the stomach when I realised what had happened! Lucky the police was just opposite and attended straight away! I just hope he or she was wearing a helmet and is alright! If this was you and you see this please tell us you are ok and what happened afterwards...

"LOOK" at the cyclist in the red who thinks he's talented by cycling in a zig zag thew a president crossing, when the lights red! SORRY but the high way code dosent apply to cyclists. I think the least cyclists can do is contribute to paying some kind of road tax or pay for them bloody cycle lanes! they never use...

stop means stop not stop then proceed out of the green box if a cop sees this it would be considered running a red light since you kept moving. Some cyclist and country's don't care what cyclist does but rules the rules cyclist are required by law that written to follow traffic laws.

Bikes should be banned from the roads and allowed on the pavements, make one pavement the pedestrian pavement and the other side of the road the cyclist pavement, either that or ban all mad motorists. Oh no we cant do that because two thirds of all motorists are mad

let me just say as a cyclist, white van driver and motorcyclist, clip in pedals and fixed gear bikes are fucking stupid in an urban environment, titing about at junctions showing off how welll you can balance on a bike is not a good idea, and having cycled round London recently after not visiting on a bike for many years I was struck by how totally inept many cyclists were, casually running red lights and undertaking in bus and truck blind spots, not paying attention to other road users etc.
Having said that life in London would be so much better if the whole central area was reserved for bikes, trams and pedestians, the city is ready for it! I can only assume lord bufton tufton and co. still want to drive to the opera in the range rover so it will never happen.
