I remember when I was kid, Mongoose made good bikes. What happened? I bought the 2.2 Ledge and it damn near killed me, LITERALLY. The handlebars just roll around and slip right out of the quill causing you to lose control of the bike. That's a great situation to find yourself in when you've got traffic not even two feet to your left. And no amount of adjusting in the world makes a difference either because as soon as you roll up hill and put stress on the handlebars, there it goes. I adjusted mine so many times the quill hex screw is stripped. In fact, the last time I rode it, it took me just under an hour to make it to my job which is only 4 miles away. I had to stop at the top of every hill to put it back together. I live in South East PA, where flat terrain is as much a myth as dry land in Waterworld. So it kind of makes the Ledge pointless as a mountain bike considering it can't even make it up a sidewalk without coming apart. I don't know whatever third world sweat shop is making your bikes now, but you need to get your money back...and mine too. I've been riding the bike for a week, and I've been dealing with this issue since literally the first time I rode it. Now, I can't even ride it unless I replace the components of the quill.
