Thanks for the rundown! I'm really admiring Moots' work, and actually looking for a bike that can handle hours in the saddle AND race cross, so I've been looking at the Psychlo X and Routt/Routt 45. The 45 looks wonderfully stable and comfy, but how much of the quick handling is lost by that long wheelbase? I don't think I'd ever put 45 c tires on, so could the geometry be tweaked to be a middle ground, with a little lower BB than the current Psychlo X (maybe 65-ish?), and a little longer chainstay length to accommodate 40 c tires? I'm not a builder, though, and if Moots is up for it, I'm happy to leave my preferences for handling and long-distance comfort in your hands and defer to your expertise on what the build would actually look like. Essentially a middle-ground in stability and handling between a cross racer and endurance bike, with clearance for a 40 c tire.
