Boris says "Thanks!" He's a real show-stopper... (See comments above - re your question.)

BD doesn't accept any custom orders or modify modifications themselves ... as far as I know. If you want to swap out any parts you'll have to do it yourself or visit a bike shop. I had some trouble with the rear wheel and had it re-built. I put a new set of gears at the same time but be careful that the rear derailleur is compatible with the cassette you choose - particularly the larger gears. Overall the bike has been MARVELOUS and I've put hundreds of commuting / touring miles on it.

Lovely cat. :) You mention that you were able to swap the cogset on the bike. Is BD usually good like that? I'm thinking about a Fantom Cross Team Ti and wanted to upgrade to disc brakes.

Yeah... I shipped to Niagara Falls, New York side. Bring a few tools and you're good to go!

how did you get it to canada with free shipping? did you pick it up at the border?

Most adorable cat.

Just a follow up, I've had the Fantom CX2 close to a month now, and I love it! One thing I will say for anyone thinking of purchasing, don't expect to pull it out of the box and be riding an hour later, at least if you want to be riding long. I spent quite a bit of time at my local bike co-op tuning the brakes and derailleurs, as well as truing the wheels. But it's well worth the time, and will help ensure it will have less problems down the road, plus bike repair knowledge is good to have!

Awesome, glad you're still enjoying it!

Hi Brett, Yes, the bike has lived up to my expectations. I commuted daily since buying it, went on two week-long bike tours (with minimal weight) this summer, and have bragged about it constantly - grin. The only thing that has given me problems is the rear wheel. After one spoke snapped, others soon followed. I'm probably part of the problem because I insist on doing my own repair work... but I think I've got it licked now. Might get a nice new light wheel down the road. Good luck to you!

Is the Fantom CX still working well for you? I'm considering getting the CX2, not quite as well equipped but I plan on doing some upgrades later on.

Boris the cat seem to be checking out the bike too. Thanks for the video
