Nice review. You may be able to switch from a 23 width tire to a 25. That and some heavy duty mountain bike spokes may help with the rough roads. Ask your mechanic. I rode a hybrid around NY for years. Flats happen. Better to have a road bike.

Did you take the flashy rim decals off yet? I mean if you park in the city... just saying. The matte black is awsome btw.

how much does it weight? Thanks

I put 6000 miles on my bikes direct bike last year, and have 3000 so far this year..best bang for the buck on the net at bikes direct if you are on a budget.

I been having my kent for 1 year now. all I did was get someone who knows to put it together and every month I go to a bike shop to get it checked. and I been doing great, but again I only use I for transportation

Thanks for your review, nicely done. I was going to buy the Kent, but will save a bit and find something better, maybe the Mirage.

Thanks for the review...just bought the Mirage SLX, can't wait to try it out. And I live in the 'burbs so I'm glad you made that distinction.

The Motobecane looks real nice. Buying used off craigslist is also a great deal if you're ok with used and vintage stuff.
