-
Okay so I'm looking at buying a Kawasaki Ninja 250 2010 and I have a mild case of a bad back. Would that work for me or nah?
-
It took you 9 min to say you can get a different seat and lean on the tank with your arm
-
did anyone notice the supra at 3:49 ?
-
there is no comfort in sport bike
-
Try a BMW touring bike and you know how uncomfortable a supersport is.
-
another thing i think helps alot is core and lower back strength unlike a cruiser being in at least decent shape helps big time
-
Sportbikes a are uncomfortable. You can hold yourself up with your legs sure but your legs will fatigue eventually. There is no comfortable position on a sportbike

What year is your current r6?
I've been contemplating on getting one but all the ones i find are the older ones, while i dont find them bad, i dont really want a carb'd bike.
I believe 03 & newer are efi, correct? -
lol just ordered these fairings today for my 06 r6 and didnt even put 2 and 2 together that they are the same as yours. are these oem fairings or aftermarket? and if aftermarket how easy were they to install?

What I've found is it's not so much about the thickness or pad of the seat, it's the shape and how narrow the bike is that matters. If you can tuck into the bike comfortably without murdering your back, that spreads your weight across your but and thighs. If the bike is wide, it splays your legs out and focuses weight on your perineum ('taint') and the bones in your butt.
On the 1098 I can ride for hundreds of miles without serious pain. Fuel light comes on every 100 miles or so, which is about perfect for hopping off and taking a stretch. The overall ergonomics is what matters. Supersport seats can be re-padded and covered or outright replaced for pretty cheap. The reach to the bars, leg room, peg position, controls, etc are a much bigger concern.
Now upright cruisers and standards, yeah the seat is a BIG concern. Pretty much all of your weight is on either your butt or feet, and good luck keeping your weight on your feet for hours comfortably. -
Lenox rd where I got in a wreck a couple years back

Can you put cruise control on a bike?

I've ridden the R6 and own an SV I'd say you're spot on with what you said about riding comfort. The SV is pretty sporty and like you said offers a much more relaxed riding position, where the R6 has a very aggressive stance but is much sportier. In my opinion the SV650 on the track does suffer with that riding position tho as I feel like I'm always fighting the bike to get down low into that racing posture for cornering. Nice video!

do you think it is worth it to buy an aftermarket seat to help with comfort?
-
You don't use a Steering Damper on your R6? Isn't that necessary with a Supersport?

Where the hell are your mirrors
