I can't tell but did you have to cut down your rear finder to insure the chain didn't hit it?
-
I cannot wait for you to do a shift kit because I know you'll do it right and the video will be very good.
-
You got the right idea with the shift kit. I built one of the bikes in 2009 with an 8 gear cassette 66 cc angle plug head milled too .008 clearance with a dellarto 14/12 carb balanced crank lightened rod auto clutch and a pipe from a yz85 running 110 vp race fuel and hit 91 mph within one mile. It was the scariest bike I ever built. Somewhere I have video of it. I couldn't of done it though without the shift kit. Thanks for the vid. God bless.

The best question, more MPG more torque? or more speed More MPG?
-
Energy consumption on ratios? Increasing front decreasing back. Any idea?
-
can u use a bike original shifting to shift the gearing on the bike?
-
OK genius them are not gears they are sprockets... if your going to talk about something get it right would you please

hey this is the guy from Texas that wants to start a motorized bicycle corporation. I'm very serious in doing this the right way. hope to hear from you. hope you got my email. my name is Jez. 682-715-8329 thanks.

I'd say put a nice exhaust on there more power plus not a huge mod.on your bike?I have 80cc if you notice your head has a metal gasket, remove that gasket and get 2 or more horse..just make sure your flush and the plug don't crush!!I can do can get up to 40mph! but I don't like beating the engine.cya

what are the standerd gas tank sizes that come with most kits ? and how do u tell what size take u have ?
-
That was a very informative video. You answered a lot of my questions. Well done and thanks.

hay bro got I'm messing with when done I'll show....I've seen and no somethings that I can tell. for now there has to be away to take peddles out concert something were there's a sprocket between peddle shaft that way it's powered closer. chain to sprocket it directly power the true front sprocket....

I have a shift kit on my beach cruiser with a 4 stroke. You made a comment about the wider shaft for the crank being a plus. Not so with my shift kit. The torque from the engine bent the shaft causing very severe runout on the sprocket. The chain kept derailing from the sprocket to the jack shaft. Also the chain kept derailing off the sprocket to the rear wheel. I put the short crank shaft and shorter crank arms on it and had to file the top of the left crank arm for clearance to the 4G transmission. I really don't have any runout. Another issue I have is that the chain to the rear wheel keeps breaking. It was not designed to handle the load from the engine. Keep a spare chain and chain breaker on the bike at all times. Just a tip.
Oh I just bought a bicycle just like yours and a 7G kit. I'll be using a 8 speed internal hub. I'll be able to use a 415h chain and the 7G looks narrower than the 4 G so I may have better luck with clearance. Also got a 6 volt dynamo hub for lights and both hubs have drum brakes. It takes more pressure to stop with the drum brakes but they will last a lot longer than rim or disc brakes and better performance in adverse conditions.. -
I know this is crazy old, but how about a Predator 212cc engine? Im considering another build using one of those myself. You could also upgrade your carb. There are adapters now that allow you to use pretty well any 2 stroke carb on the HS 4-strokes. Using one myself on one of my bikes and its really nice. Depending on what carb you go with, you can add quite a lot of power. Also can get a more performance exhaust and exhaust gasket. Youve got a belt drive which is really nice. Tough to find these days. You could also change the frame, go with one of those frames with the built in gas tank. They look really nice.

I have a bike like that , would Bigger gears make it faster on long runs or smaller ?
-
Great video. Now I know it called a shift kit. Thanks man. I'm building my first. 60cc kit.

I want to buy a kit like this, like an 80dc or 49cc, what kind of mods would you recommend for this...I was thinking heads, intake, exhaust, and valves...any more good mods I could do??
