MTB Bike Check – Yeti ASRc Dream Build
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
I built this bike to be as fast and fun as possible with every single part being reconsidered and every setting tested. It is by far the best bike I've ridden for trail and XC, but it can handle the rougher side of the coin just as well. Below is a full list of all components with links. Let me know if I forgot something and please feel free to ask any questions below. –––––––––– *Chassis* Frame: Yeti ASRc - Size Medium - http://bit.ly/2eLq3bQ Fork: Rockshox RS-1 - 120mm 46º offset - http://bit.ly/2eQWqEn Shock: Rockshox Monarch XX - http://bit.ly/2eQVjEE Lockout: Rockshox X-Loc Full Sprint - http://bit.ly/2dK02Hf *Drivetrain* Rims: ENVE m50 - 28h - http://bit.ly/2eFYzDy Spokes: Sapim CX-Ray - http://bit.ly/2f7aoXN Front Hub: SRAM Predictive Steering - http://bit.ly/2eRsnxe Rear Hub: DT Swiss 240s with 54t Star Ratchet - http://bit.ly/2eLwBad Tires: Maxxis Ardent Race 3C 29 x 2.2 with Orange Seal - http://bit.ly/2dK0FQY Brakes: SRAM Guide RSC with 160mm Rotors - http://bit.ly/2eazU9B Shifter: SRAM X01 - http://bit.ly/2eaweVe Rear Derailleur: SRAM X01 - http://bit.ly/2ffqIVB Cassette: SRAM X01 - http://bit.ly/2eQSXFI Chain: XX1 - http://bit.ly/2ev1nFU Chainring: Absolute Black Oval 32t ring - http://bit.ly/2eRsskw Cranks: SRAM X01 PF30 - 168mm Q-Factor, 170mm crank arms - http://amzn.to/2eaA2WD Bottom Bracket: SRAM PF30 - http://bit.ly/2eQWQKX Power Meter: Stages Carbon BB30 - Pedals: XPEDO M-Force 8 ti - http://bit.ly/2f75jyq *Cockpit* Seatpost: Rockshox Reverb Stealth B1 - 170mm - http://bit.ly/2eLnLZY Stem: ENVE Road Stem - 90mm - http://bit.ly/2ffsq9x Handlebar: ENVE Sweep Bar - 740mm - http://bit.ly/2dIm1Ty Headset: Cane Creek 40/44 with Slam That Stem headset cover - http://bit.ly/2eaA1Sl Grips: ESI Racer's Edge - Black - http://amzn.to/2eQVaRJ Saddle: Specialized Phenom Expert - http://bit.ly/2eQYkEQ *Misc* Bottle Cage 1: Specialized Zee Cage II Left - Black, composite - https://www.specialized.com/us/en/116710 Bottle Cage 2: Fabric Cageless Bottle - http://bit.ly/2ffsLZt Garmin Mount: K-Edge Garmin Combo Mount - http://bit.ly/2eRsB7Q Frame Protection: Invisiframe Yeti ASRc Kit - http://bit.ly/2eFjAkC Stickers: Stikrd - http://bit.ly/2eQT586 Cable Management 1: Jagwire Alloy Stick-On Guides - http://amzn.to/2eG2nEG Cable Management 2: Jagwire Rotating S-Hook - http://amzn.to/2eRuAsN –––––––––– • Yeti Cycles: http://www.yeticycles.com • Cuore: http://www.cuore.ch • POC: http://www.pocsports.com Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/leejonathan_ Snapchat: leejonathan7 Exposure: leejonathan.exposure.co Filmed with a Sony a6000.

This is a great videom Thank you for that.
1. why does the asrc have such a large following? There are many great light weight xxc bikes nowadays?
2. when will the new asrc model be available?
3. what are your thoughts about low pressure and wide 2.4-2.8 tires or is xc mostly smooth terrain where lower rolling resistance over chunk isnt priority?
4. does a power meter really help for mtn biking? the graphs usually vary all over the place for off road riding . what about a heart monitor?
5. looks like an awesome climbing machine. how well does it do with more aggressive xxc courses these days? any plans for tweaking the specs closer to descending characteristics?
really enjoyed your post. thanks again -
Awesome bike!

You have an amazing bike with a really good build on it! I have an ASRc and love it so much! I do some races and it handles very course I've been on perfectly!
-
Awesome bike, your attention to detail is amazing.
-
How much did it cost?
-
Doesn't the blue paint make it weight 0.2lb more?
-
Great job on the video and bike.
-
Beautiful and wonderful bike! What's her weight?
-
Cool jeans! What are they?

Awesome bike, dropper post is the way to go, I wonder why no more riders use it for XC racing, some of those guys must stop being such weight wennies and start realizing that a gain in performance could be much more beneficial than saving 3 grams.

saw your video with Brian from BK-XC...awsome ride👌

Thanks for sharing your build! Sure makes my ASRc seem pretty chunky although I've made mine more trail-friendly. Running Fox 34 up front and DPS rear. Maxxis Ardent front and Minion SS rear tire. 30T Oval and Sunrace 46T rear. DT Swiss alu wheels. Std Yeti saddle. It's like 5 lbs heavier than yours but I don't race XC. Wouldn't mind changing out the front to Enve handlebars & longer stem perhaps. Since I already have a hardtail, I wanted a bit more of a cushy ride. But dang yours is light!!

Nice looking ride and great build spec. Well thought out. I have a really similar build on my ARCc. I love the dropper on the XC FS or HT, especially the Yeti's with their slacker angles. It just makes the bike so much more fun and faster in the rough and steep stuff, even just for railing corners, it lets you lean the bike over so much more. Good call.
