This car screams something out their window about that 'bike path' on the left side of the road as she almost gets into a collision with an oncoming vehicle ... Shared use paths like this are NOT for regular cyclists. They are for children and adults who want to have a leisurely stroll down the neighborhood. This one rolls across driveways, side streets, and even in and out of landscaping. The maximum safe speed on that path is 8-10 MPH, plus it is on the wrong side of the road for cars to be looking for traffic coming from. I pace myself at about 18-20 MPH. Sorry, I won't be using that curvy non-prioritized shared use path. I will stick to the prioritized road where traffic like me belongs... Oh and learn how to pass. I appreciate the extra space and stuff, but when you drive like this, it shows that you have an obvious fear of bicycles. Drive normal, 3ft of space is all I need. No need to run oncoming cars off the road when passing me. The 3 other cars behind you seem to be able to pass me safely without running oncoming cars off the road.
