When I got an Ion Speed Pro action video camera in July 2016 I really didn't expect to record anything interesting. I'm not fast, I don't do stunts, and the vast majority of drivers I encounter are very courteous. But a week after beginning to use the camera I had three near misses in one morning. I only uploaded this incident because the driver looked right at me the whole time and apparently decided his trip was more important than mine and his truck was bigger, so that settles that. In the third incident later than day the lady driving a van stopped, rolled down her window and apologized. I told her no problem and thanked her for stopping. I don't have a video editor that can blur out faces and license plates so I won't embarrass her by uploading that portion. The Ion Speed Pro is a good daytime video camera. Probably best at 1080/30 for this sort of documentation. At 720/60 fps some details are too small to discern license plate numbers. The 180 degree FOV is wider than I'd prefer. And the nighttime performance is mediocre, unless it's in brightly lit areas. But for the current price of just under $70 it's a good value and includes a pretty good mounting kit, although I had to homebrew my own helmet mount.
