Netherlands Bike & Barge - Day 1

This is the first instalment of video from my Bike and Barge Trip in the Netherlands from the summer of 2014. I have several hours of riding footage from each day of the trip, and It took me a long time to decide how to edit it into a shorter video to share. By popular request, I have also prepared a much longer clip which is just raw riding footage with music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dojp3yqfjf4 The trip began in Amsterdam and the Barge took us north-east to Horne. We spend the first night in Horne and then rode from Horne to Enkhuizen (roughly 30km). From there we got back on the boat and crossed the Ijsselmeer arriving in Lemmer just before dinner. Came here after watching one of your tutorials. Funny because I live in Amsterdam (IJburg). You know how we spot foreigners on normal bikes? Because they wear helmets. :-) Nice vid.

Nice video, but for me as a Dutch person it's "strange" to see spandex and helmets with people on city/touring bikes ;-)
(we normaly only see that with people on racing bikes) -

Thanks CJ. How did you find the regimented/planned side of the trip? Would you do the same again or plan your own route next time for more freedom?
I'd love to cycle through Norway one day and see the Fjords. It's so gorgeous there! :)
